British firm to provide web sites to AJK students

British firm will provide web sites to the all students of all educational institutes of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. All students will have facility to communicate with the worldwide educational institutes, students and teachers. Prime Minister of AJK Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan surmises, “One Site per Child” is a very useful project and gives instruction to the relevant firm to prepare Projects for Azad Jammu and Kashmir.

Army van accident at Rerah

4 soldiers injured as a van of Pakistan Army fell down into a deep excavation in Rerah. The 3ton van was going from Dhulli to Bagh when it fell down into the excavation at Rerah, a town some 15 kilometers in north of Bagh city. The residents of Rerah town gathered immediately at the place of accident. The injured soldiers were taken out of the destroyed van and admitted in the MDS hospital Bagh where 2 of the soldiers are reported to be seriously injured and are being treated in the ICU.

Qamar-uz-Zaman visits the Old Kachehri

Sardar Qamar-uz-Zaman Khan, the Opposition Leader in the Azad Jammu & Kashmir Legislative Assembly visited the old Kachehri of Bagh. Qamar-uz-Zaman visited the Centeral Jail and asked about the problems from the prisoners. Qamar also visited the Press Club met the journalists.

STAR Opened Free Health Centre at Bagh

STAR Foundation opened a Free Health Center in the District Bagh, an earthquake affected area of Azad Jammu & Kashmir, Pakistan. In the District Bagh there is a lack of health facilities especially for women diseases, a single District Hospital cannot fulfill the needs of people. This district hospital is always overfilled with patients. There are also some private clinics but their check up fees are very high, poor people cannot afford to go there. So this health center was urgently needed for the area. There is only one gynecologist working in the District Hospital, there is no other free health center for women. Pregnant women are facing lots of problems. In this situation pregnant women prefer to deliver their children at home rather than in hospital. Some pregnant women & children die during home delivery. Not payment to quake affectees is injustice: Turabi

ISLAMABAD: Former Amir Jamaat-e-Islami AJK and EX. Member AJK Assembly Abdur Rashid Turabi has said stopping payment to earthquake stricken people of Bagh and Azad Jummu and Kashmir is injustice as the rules and regulations regarding the payment has been issued when majority of the affectees has built their houses. In a letter to the Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gillani, he has said that problems of the affectees should be immediately resolved, otherwise, they would organize a long March on May 11. In the letter Abur Rashid Turabi says, “The Fault is on the part of ERRA and other concerned officials as they have been issuing different code of conduct on different occasions.” He writes that the affectees are more perplexed when authorities apply double standard in this regard. BAGH (DISTRICT REPORTER) the area manger of Action Aid, Mr. Adam Polter has said that Action Aid has done its best to provide the basic rights and necessities to the earthquake affected people of Azad Jammu & Kashmir and NWFP and has proved its abilities by helping the affected people in reconstruction and rehabilitation.
